Use your favorite herbs or succulents to design your own fun Indoor Planter Tray!
This video is a quick overview of 2 of my DIY indoor dish garden projects, inspired by fairy gardens, but using decor that my family made or picked out. The first example is an herb garden decorated with little birdhouses I made with my kids. The second is a succulent dish garden tray decorated with a cute vintage camper and dog made to look like a little southwest campground. I used wire LED mini lights to add a bit more magic for my kids.
This is really just to show you how to make a shallow tray planter and to inspire you to add your own decor to make your own custom planter. 🙂

Tips for Indoor Plants to Use:
There are lots of plants that work well in shallow planters, like a tray. Just do a quick google search on what you want to use to double check before buying. Many types of herbs, succulents, indoor ivys, bonsai trees, pothos, and even strawberries will work. BE SURE to pick the right potting mix, sunlight, and drainage for your plants.
