Building a primitive heathen shelter

It all started one early cold morning in December. I had finally found the place where I could build my camp. The location was perfect. Chose to build my shelter on a hill in a wild growing forest with a mix of planted trees. It took me a while to discover that the place I had chosen to build was a place where the cold westerly wind was rushing straight at me. It didn’t bother me and seemed to add a certain charm to the place

This is the first time I’ve built my very own shelter and if I do say so myself, the result was pretty good. I was satisfied with the result. As for the actual design of the shelter, I made a fairly simple a frame. A very common shelter that you can easily build in the forest with little material. Of course, it depends on how big it needs to be and how robust it needs to be. I went for a large shelter where 3 people could sleep in. My shelter was 3.5 meters in width and 3 meters in length and 2.20 in height.

The look of my shelter got a viking/germanic look. Gloomy, dark and exciting. I was lucky enough to find, I think, a skull of a deer, which gave the shelter a raw look. The tree I used had some cool colors in the form of its bark. I didn’t debark the tree. It was allowed to be as it was. Otherwise, I tried not to decorate the shelter too much.

I hope you like my shelter.
